* Corel KPANEL hack
For thus who don't like the default KDE1.1.2 TaskBar, this is a modified version of the Corel Kpanel intended to work with the standard KDElibs and KDEcore. It was tested with Redhat 6.x, Slackware 7.0, Suse 6.3 and Peanut linux, but should work with any recent Linux distribution.

[ Get the source code ]
Simply download the Source file kpanel2.src.tgz (759 kB), unzip it to a directory of your choice.

[ Compile ]
Do :
  # cd kpanel2
  # ./configure
  # cd kpanel
  # make clean ; make
  # cp kpanel $KDEDIR/bin/kpanel2

[ Get Bin-file ]
Download the Binary file kpanel2.gz (160 kB), unzip it to $KDEDIR/bin (generally /opt/kde/bin or /usr/bin).

[ Intall kpanel2 ]
Replace the command "exec kpanel" by "exec kpanel2" in the $KDEDIR/bin/startkde file.
